Meg Lonergan
"The South -- where roots, place, family and tradition are the essence of identity."
- Carl N. Degler
Social Historian

Meg Lonergan, née Mary Margaret LeSueur, born in South Louisiana would also without a doubt add ‘home’ to Degler’s essence of one’s identity. Although Meg was uprooted from the south at an early age, her design stays true to the tradition, history and that certain savoir–faire only found below the Mason-Dixon line. After living in various cities and countries scattered across the globe, Meg’s style has become a true reflection of her multi-cultural exposure balanced with southern elegance.

Meg believes having an ‘eye’ for design cannot be taught or learned, but can be refined and polished with experience and influence. She displays an acute attention to the most minor of details in the worlds of fashion, art, architecture and interior design, honing her creative spirit and developing her sophisticated yet playful sense of style.

After Meg and her Kiwi high school sweetheart turned husband moved to Houston in 2009, LeSueur Interiors was born. Meg’s eye for mixing the old with the new, the classic with inventive, fine antiques paired with flea market finds; are molded from her experiences living abroad in Singapore, New Zealand and Paris as well as her travels all over the world. Her intuitive southern flair and international sensitivity can be seen clearly in her interiors, forming eclectic and creatively fresh concepts. She has an ability to harmonize her client’s tastes and treasures in a profound and rich tapestry of unique design.

An adventurous and curious spirit, traveling is one of Meg’s passions, second only to her love of great design. If not collecting fabrics in India, furniture from Bali or creating her own line of LeSueur Interiors ‘Lagniappe’ candles, you might just as easily find her around town in a yoga studio, flea market, or coffee house, keeping her keen eye out for that next spice of inspiration.
